Fire Hose Reel System
A fire hose is a high-pressure hose that carries water or other fire retardant (such as foam) to a fire to extinguish it. Fire hose reel systems consist of pumps, pipes, water supply and hose reels located strategically in a building, ensuring proper coverage of water to combat a fire. After use, a fire hose is usually hung to dry, because standing water that remains in a hose for a long time can deteriorate the material and render it unreliable or unusable. The system is manually operated and activated by opening a valve enabling the water to flow into the hose that is typically 30 meters away.
